Guidelines for hiring quality & reliable equipment
Private Parties
1 Hire from a reputable company with an address & land line number - the majority of calls we receive on a Saturday morning are from people that only have a mobile number or no name/ address and can’t get in touch with whoever fails to deliver. 2 If the equipment is damaged don’t accept it. 3 Make sure there are safety mats and waterproof plugs. 4 Make sure the inflatable is securely anchored (pegs/sand bags) 5 Check that the bed of the inflatable is firm and bouncy. 6 If you’re paying under £50 for a bouncy castle it’s probably not from a reputable company or fit for commercial hire. 7 We have no cancellation fee due to bad weather if the castle is cancelled before delivery on the morning of the party. We will usually ring you to make sure you want to go ahead with it.
Event/Schools
1 Hire from a reputable company with address & land line number. 2 If you are hiring with insurance do not sign any forms on the day as it will more than likely be a disclaimer/waiver. 3 It is law that all inflatable equipment is supervised by a responsible adult (over 18) so ensure the equipment you hire comes with staff to supervise it for insurance purposes. 4 Make sure on the day of the event that:- * Risk assessments are carried out. * A copy of public liability insurance is available for inspection. * Equipment is fenced off for crowd control and safety. * Safety mats, waterproof plugs & leads are used ALWAYS! *Numbers/age/weight restrictions are adhered to on equipment by the supervisors - no overcrowding in case of injury to users.
